State FFA President: Bronson Azama (Castle High School) Hey guys! My name is Kaitlyn Shimizu and I am your 2018-2019 Hawaii State FFA President. I am from the Mililani Chapter. I have been part of the FFA organization for three years and served as Chapter president at Mililani my senior year. I joined FFA not knowing anything about it too soon have a fond appreciation of the organization. Being Future Farmers of America there has provided me with many opportunities and experiences. I have been able to attend the Washington Leadership Conference, State Officer Summit, and many different agriculture events in Hawaii. These events have helped shaped me into the person I am today showing me my purpose and giving me the drive to take action. The FFA is more than agriculture and I hope that this year every member finds themselves and strengthens their love for agriculture through their FFA journey. I hope that it’s a good year and I look forward to working with and meeting you all! State FFA Secretary: Hannah Diocares (Waipahu High School) Hey everyone, my name is Spencer Jenkins. I’m the 2018-2019 Hawaii FFA State Secretary. I started this journey in my freshman year of high school. I randomly picked the Natural Resource Pathway class just to see what the class was about and I found myself enjoying the different things that we learned about. I joined FFA my sophomore year and I’ve been in FFA for 4 years now. The FFA has allowed me to travel and take part in many events such as WLC and State Officers Summit. The FFA also gave me the chance to meet many influential people in agriculture and make many friends across the nation. I hope that you can experience some of the many things that FFA has to offer and make lasting connections with others. State FFA Treasurer: Sabrina Holcom (Lahainaluna High School) |
State FFA Vice President: Harvey Tagalicud (Pahoa High School) Hey all! My name is Harvey Tagalicud and I am proudly serving as your 2019-2020 Hawaii FFA State Vice President. I hail from Pahoa High School and have been in the FFA for four years. I joined the FFA purely to compete and travel with my friends. However, as the years passed, I found myself falling in love with the organization and becoming enamored with the passionate people who belong to it. I have learned so much about the agricultural industry and how it truly is the most important industry there is. I ultimately stayed in the FFA because of the people I had met whose goals and ideas were diverse and intense. My goal as an officer is to hear your stories, learn your passions, and be part of the process that helps you realize your goals. I truly look forward to meeting all of you!
